The programme’s planning, programming and management bodies include the Academic Board. The programme also makes use of two additional monitoring bodies: the Quality Assurance Group, comprising members of the Academic Board and student representatives; and the Advisory Board, including external experts of high scientific standing, including international experts, with a view to facilitating the involvement of non-Italian co-supervisors. 

The PhD programme encourages constant and open dialogue with and amongst PhD students through the organisation of regular seminars on research and training activities and their prospects for integration and improvement.
