Courses and programmes

The PhD programme has an innovative structure, which includes various types of training activities.

The doctoral training programme is designed to ensure a balance between advanced education and research activity, through a flexible, highly personalised pathway. It integrates cross-disciplinary teaching and specialised training, enabling candidates to develop strong theoretical, methodological and analytical competences in biodiversity, evolution and adaptation.

The training includes a phase aimed at consolidating core scientific and methodological competences, alongside the development of skills in research design and management, including participation in competitive national and international funding calls and the dissemination of research outcomes through publications and attendance at national and international conferences.

The programme is further enriched by advanced courses, seminars and workshops delivered by internationally recognised experts within an interdisciplinary framework that integrates theory and application. Participation in international mobility and in scientific networks fosters integration into high-level research settings.
