The PhD programme has an innovative structure, which includes various types of training activities.
The PhD programme’s educational plan is characterised by an interdisciplinary structure designed to provide doctoral students with a solid methodological background and advanced research tools in the fields of philosophy, history, and political studies.
The teaching activities include courses delivered in English on topics that are central to the doctoral path, such as the integration of philosophical interpretation and historical research, concept formation and research methods in philosophy and history, the relationship between history and politics in the contemporary world, public history, qualitative and quantitative methods in political science, and the social and political philosophy of language.
The programme combines theoretical depth with careful attention to methodological aspects, promoting a broad-based preparation consistent with the different research areas of the course. Courses include final assessments aimed at the critical re-elaboration of the topics addressed.
General Guidelines:
- PhD students must earn at least a minimum of 20 credits within the 3 years of the course duration
- There are 7 different types of activities recognized for credit allocation
- Each activity is characterized by a minimum and maximum number of credits that can be recognized
