The PhD programme has an innovative structure, which includes various types of training activities.
The aspects that characterize the doctorate from the point of view of the training project are the multidisciplinarity and the possibility of a strong industrial-managerial training connotation. The proposed training activity is organized in two distinct curricula, even if the courses are generally accessible to all doctorate students. The training activity includes a variety of courses and seminars of at least eight hours each, held mainly by members of the teaching staff as well as by national and international experts of proven qualification (both from business and academic backgrounds), on topics of transversal and, for the most part, multidisciplinary interest that combine theoretical elements with applicative aspects illustrated through case studies and examples of project use of the concepts developed. The training includes a part of consolidation of skills in basic scientific and methodological disciplines, and in organizational aspects of research, also relating to participation in national and international research calls, as well as valorization of research results, for example through publications and patents. The general interest section is combined with subjects related to the specific orientation chosen by the candidate to foster their ability to develop research topics.
