Courses and programmes

The PhD programme has an innovative structure, which includes various types of training activities.

Over a period of three years, the programme will consist of lectures, seminars, and special events designed to fit the various stages of research training. A total of 76 teaching hours will be offered during the first and second years. They will include lectures, seminars and workshops, intended to build community spirit and create spaces for academic dialogue and discussion.

Lessons are in-person and will be delivered primarily in Italian or, depending on the subject matter, in English and possibly in some of the other languages included in the programme.

PhD students are also encouraged to participate in national and/or international summer/winter schools, as well as conferences, symposia or workshops. They can also engage in tutoring, adjunct teaching and take part in cultural events aimed at the general public.
